A man hurled a shoe at Naya Shakti Nepal Coordinator Baburam Bhattarai at the Prithvi Narayan Campus in Pokhara on Thursday.

The former Prime Minister had reached the Campus to attend a programme organised by the Naya Shakti Nepal Student Union Prithvi Narayan Campus Chapter this morning.

According to SP Ghanshyam Aryal of the District Police Office, Kaski, Sanjeeb Bhattarai of Narayanpur VDC-7 of Kailali had flung the shoe from a distance at the Naya Shakti Nepal Coordinator.

Sanjeeb is a student of political science at the campus.

It has been learned that he had also showed black flag and chanted slogans against Baburam Bhattarai.

Ex-Home Minister Ghimire met accident while overtaking a truck: Report

The Investigation Committee coordinated by former Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kuber Singh Rana has concluded that the jeep, driven by Ghimire himself, plunged into Trishuli River at Ghoptebhir in Chitwan district on September 25 while overtaking.The Kathmandu-bound jeep was coming from Mustang with the family members of Ghimire after concluding a religious trip. the report says the incident took placewhen Ghimire tried to overtake a truck. The report prepared by the Committee also established the fact that since Ghimire was driving himself, no other persons could be held accountable for it. Furthermore, the report persuades to acknowledge the event as a mere fateful accident. Submitting the report, Coordinator Rana explained, “The incident took place when the jeep driven by Madhav Prasad Ghimire was trying to overtake a truck and struck with another truck coming from the opposite direction.”He added, “The jeep then lost its balance and fell into the Trishuli River.”

RP Bhattarai past away
KATHMANDU: Comedian Rudra Prasad Bhattarai aka RP Bhattarai aka Lajalam passed away in Biratnagar. He was 45


It has been learned that Bhattarai had gone to sleep at one of his relatives’ house after dinner last night. He, however, was found dead on the bed this morning.

Bhattarai who suffered from obesity and high blood pressure was diabetic also.Bhattarai popular after appearing in comedy teleserial Teeto Satya as Lajalam. He has acted in several music videos, telefilms and feature films, including recently released Chhakka Panja.
He was on a visit to HIS home town Biratnagar recently.

He is survived by his wife and two sons.

Lokman Singh Karki is similar to a stray bull. अदुवा किसान सङ्कटमा (१ शेयर गरी नेपाली किसानलाई सहयोग गर्नुहुन अनुरोध)

इटहरी, २४ मङ्सिर । पूर्वी नेपालका अदुवा किसान आफ्नो उत्पादनलाई भारतमा निकासी गर्न नसक्दा गम्भीर समस्यामा परेका छन् ।पाँच वर्षपछिको सबैभन्दा कम मूल्यमा पनि अदुवा बिक्री हुन छाडेपछि पूर्वी नेपालका अदुवा किसान मारमा परेका हुन् ।

अहिले यहाँका किसानले उत्पादन गरेको अदुवाको थोक मूल्य प्रतिकेजी १५ देखि २० रुपैयाँमा पनि बिक्न छाडेको छ । गतवर्ष यही समयमा किसानले अदुवाख प्रतिकेजी ५० देखि ७० रुपैयाँमा बिक्री गरेका थिए ।अहिले विचौलिया व्यापारीले किसानले ल्याएको अदुवा किनिदिन छाडेकाले अदुवा किसान रुनु न हाँस्नुको अवस्थामा पुगेको पीडित किसानले बताएका छन् ।विशेषगरी धनकुटा, सुनसरी, भोजपुर, सङ्खुवासभा, खोटाङ, उदयपुर जिल्लाबाट किसानले अधिकतम रुपमा धरानको कृषि उपज बजारस्थलसम्म बिक्रीका लागि अदुवा लिएर आउने गरेका छन् । यसपटक भने उचित मूल्य नपाएपछि बजारमा भुक्तानी विनै अदुवा छाडेर जान बाध्य भइरहेको बजारका व्यवस्थापक लक्ष्मण भट्टराईले जानकारी दिनुभएको छ ।

उहाँका अनुसार पूर्वी नेपालका विभिन्न जिल्लाबाट प्रतिवर्ष कम्तीमा १० हजार मेट्रिक टन अदुवा बजारस्थलमा आउने र त्यसमध्ये ९० प्रतिशत अदुवा भारत निकासी हुने गरेकामा यस वर्ष अहिलेसम्म भारत निकासी हुनसक्ने स्थिति देखापरेको छैन ।
